Blue Moon

The Blue Moon is the larger of the two moons, and the one with the more tangible effect on the world. She is referred to by the populous as Aquis, the goddess of water. Aside from the luminescent blue hue of the moon, she also pulls the tide. A strange trait of this heavenly body is that even the dark side is readily visible as it hangs in the sky.

Once every four years, a momentous event occurs. The moon eclipses one of the two stationary heavenly bodies. On the fourth year, and every eight years thereafter, an eclipse of the Sun occurs, and every eighth year an eclipse of the Dark Spot occurs. Eclipses of the Sun are known as a Blue Day, and an eclipse of the Dark Spot is referred to as a Blue Night.

The Blue Moon makes it’s cycle once a month, and is a primary basis for the Argovaan Calendar.
